Chiropractic is a form of joint manipulation that uses speed and force in movement to align the spine and joints. Sometimes you may see physical therapy treatments that appear similar to chiropractic adjustments. However, physical therapy doesn't just treat through joint manipulation, but also includes the use of pain-relieving devices, muscle stretching, exercise, and behavior or environmental modifications to prevent re-injury.

Massage by physical therapists is a specialized therapeutic massage for treating specific conditions. It is performed by licensed physical therapists registered with the Physical Therapy Council, using specific physical therapy techniques. The process begins with an assessment of symptoms, evaluation of contraindications/precautions for each patient, and treatment planning which may involve the use of physical therapy equipment in conjunction with appropriate manual techniques. Massage is just one component of physical therapy treatment.

Don’t let the pain take away your smile.
